Pumpkin Zaatar Puree

Purees are PERFECT once you start introducing solids to your baby.  They’re easy to make and your baby will love them. This Pumpkin Zaatar Puree Recipe will help your baby get introduced to Zaatar (Arabic Thyme) so I suggest you make it.

The objective of the puree recipes  is to introduce as many ingredients & flavors to your baby as early as his/her 6 months one puree at a time.

Introduce them slowly; once your baby is used to one of them then you’re ready to introduce another one.

Preparation Time:  10 minutes
Cooking Time:  1 hour
Makes: 850 g

Age: 6 months +
Storage in Fridge: Up to 3 days
Storage in Freezer: Up to months

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Pumpkin
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Zaatar (Arabic Thyme)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C
  2. Chop pumpkin into pieces.
  3. In an tray, lined with parchment paper, place pumpkin and roast for 60 minutes.
  4. Once done, place into a blender, add zaatar & water until you get a puree with desired consistency.
